The Two Blues

Happy Birthday baby girl. I can't believe you are already two. Poor thing was sick on her birthday so we didn't take her to Jeepers or Chuckie Cheeses like we had planned so we will have to make up for it this weekend. Tim took the day off of work and we took Kamryn swimming--her favorite thing to do in the world, and then we played games, made cupcakes, and we took her to sonic to get a kids meal but they ran out of toys--Poor child was sick and she didn't get her toy on her birthday. By Saturday she was feeling a lot better so we took her to the Mud football game and we will have her birthday party this week when she is all better. Happpy Birthday sweetie! You are the most adorable little two year old I know.

Kylee my little April Fools baby turned 6 today, and it was her first party with friends. The theme was littlest pet shop and we had just an amazing time. My fingers were so soar from tying over 150 water balloons, but totally worth it to see Tim get clobbered by a bunch of little girls. Everyone was so exhausted afterwards, who knew having so much fun could be such hard work. It was so adorable the night before I was cleaning--scrubbing down my house and Kiora said "geese you guys are really taking this party stuff serious", her way of saying she didn't want to clean.
What a great way to celebrate such a joy to my life.
Kylee I love you.

Lover Boy update

I'm pleased to announce that lover boy a.k.a Henry is doing fine, no broken nose, or hard feelings from getting clocked in the face by Kylee. Again we were playing at Mc. Donald--it's Maricopa if you live here I'm sure you understand there isn't anything to do around this rinky dink town, and there Kylee was with her new best friend Henry just having a wonderful time together. Henry even wanted to come home with Kylee when we had to leave, and we were able to leave without a wrestling match or a fight to the death.

Aren't kids adorable.

LOVE HURT

Kylee the not so innocent one.

I took the girls over to Mc. Donald's after an early release day at school to meet up with Rachele and her daughters, and to let the girls exhaust some of their unlimited supply of energy. When I opened the doors the entire playground was filled with school uniforms. It looked like the entire Legacy school was there. I guess great moms think alike--Junk food and a place for kids to go nuts= good times.

Kamryn and I were playing a game of golf on the touch screen monitor--the greatest invention for busy little fingers when I see a flash of red zoom by me--it's Kylee running as fast as her little scrawny legs will take her to hide behind me. There was this boy--Henry chasing after her.

Quickly she raced up the playground and there Kiora was to her rescue holding back this Henry boy--poor kid was out numbered four girls holding him back from chasing his sweet Kylee.

At first I thought nothing of it-- boys will be boys, but then the shrieks and screams coming from my girls were more than ear piercing, and I'm not really into public anarchy, so I told my girls that we need to go ASAP.

Things just continued to escalate, here was this sweet boy tackling my daughter to the ground refusing to let her go. Then Kamryn reaches out and with her little protective hands, crying, trying to rescue her big sister.

Where is a big strong man when you need one, and where is this boy's mother.

Very soon everything was in complete chaos--here I was struggling to hold on to a shrieking baby diving to attack Kylee's predator, Kylee on the floor flailing her body around trying to release the grips of love, and Kiora well she was there just kinda standing around watching in amusement.

I reach down to try to pull Kylee up with one hand when I see a loose foot fly directly at this lover boys nose and she clocks him good right between the eyes with her boots on.

Those boots did more than just walking that day.

I was horrified--usually I'm the innocent onlooker of frazzled moms with out of control children but today was my day to join the circus.

Meanwhile there is still a no show on the mother and I needed to get to work soon. I tried to evaluate the damage and get Kylee to say she was sorry--in all honesty it was a case of out of control self defense.

Thank goodness Rachele was there to talk to Henry to see if he was OK after I couldn't get not even the slightest remorse from Kylee, and she is one of the most empathetic and compassionate children I know.

That moment of mortal combat will forever be in my mind, replaying in slow motion, the kick of death from Kylee--direct contact with Henry's little nose.

All I can say is Love Hurts.

Beer Baby

Oh my dear sweet Kam drinking at such a young age...

So there I was sitting on my bed with my husband just talking and making plans for this weekend, and Kamryn was goofing off as usually, jumping on the bed, pulling out all my clean clothes from my laundry basket, the usually chaos from Kam,--nothing to unusual when she disappeared behind our curtains.

Every minute or so she would pop out her head and giggle and try to scare us, then she spun around, and around wrapping herself up like a burrito in the curtains--one of her favorite past times, than there was a calm stillness that fell over the room--I should have known, it always gets quiet before the storm starts.

The silence is soon broken with a coughing and gagging and spitting sounds and I quickly rushed over to my baby to fish out what ever she gotten in her mouth this time, only to find her holding a half full juice box of yummy homemade beer--probably hidden behind the curtains on her many many raids of the pantry days prior. It's like a little game we play--guess what unsually place I've hidden the food today.

I quickly rushes her to the kitchen to wash out her mouth, holding her a full arms lengths out trying to escape the horrid smell still on her breath. I was tempted gag her to get the juice out of her system.

Poor thing was up all night crying and coughing. I felt like I was nursing her hangover, just hoping she wouldn't get to sick.

And I'm glad to report that Kam is back to her usually terrorizing ways and even a sip or sour juice isn't slowing her down.

yuck..
